In Respect To The Eid-el-Fitr FG Declares Aug. 8, Aug. 9 Public Holidays

In other to mark the 2013
Eid-el-Fitri celebration the Federal Government has declared August 8 and 9 as
public holidays.

The Federal Government indicated
this in a statement issued on Monday by
the Minister of interior, Mr abba Moro,
and signed by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs Fatima Bamidele.

Muslims were persuaded to use
the spiritual benefit of Ramadan to contribute to the development of the country.

The statement also urged Nigerians
to exploit the spiritual benefits of love, joy and peace in their daily living
and to use the opportunity of the holidays to reflect on the imperative of
peace in nation building.
It wished all Nigerians a rewarding
and peaceful celebration.
