Amber Bellows and her husband hiked to the top of Mount Kinesava, in the southern part of the park, on Saturday.
She jumped first, and as she was falling
2,000ft to the ground, her husband, 29-year-old Clayton Butler, saw
that her parachute was failing to open.

Officials later began a helicopter search and found Bellows’ body.
The couple, from Salt Lake City, Utah, had married just two weeks earlier.
Bellows was experienced in Base jumping, which is banned in the park. It is the first time a jumer has died there.
 Acting Superintendent Jim Milestone
said in a statement, “It is just really sad and our condolences go out
to her family and friends.
“Base jumping is so dangerous. Even for those that are experienced, like Amber Bellows.”
