Who Man United should buy & who they should sell

Who Man United should buy & who they should sell is now a big question David
Moyes should consider , Though, he has indicated that he won’t make any panic
purchases in the January transfer window, but many Manchester United fans feel that new players are vital in
salvaging the Red Devils’ season.

Many of
Manchester United’s current crop are also out of favour with the fans, with a
number of players failing to put in performances worthy of a side which won the
title last year.
So we’ve
looked outwards, to Germany, Brazil, Spain and France, looking for players who United boss
David Moyes could
realistically bring in to Old Trafford this January.
We’ve
also done David Moyes a solid favour and decided which players he needs to get
rid of, immediately.
So take a
look at the gallery below, and see what players we’re recommending for Moyes
(offering our scouting services free-of-charge, by the way), and which players
we’d give the boot.
Tell us
in the comments section Who Man United should buy & who they should sell.
1) Ander
Herrera: Man United originally went for him in the summer, but the move fell
though. Herrera has since endured patchy form for Athletic Bilbao, this could
lessen the transfer value of a player who displays class in bundles.

2)
Everton Ribeiro: Brazilian player of the year, tricksy and pacey winger who
oozes style. Has a long contract at Cruzeiro, but as we know, that’s not always
a major problem.

3) Sergio
Ramos: Reportedly unhappy at Real Madrid, and just the sort of player
Manchester United need at the back. Would he want to risk a move to an ailing
club in a World Cup year?

4) Dede:
We’re going to back to Brazil, this time for defender Dede. Modern centre-back
with outstanding positioning. Cruzeiro snapped him up in the summer, amid all
kinds of legal issues surrounding the transfer. He only left his old club
because he thought they needed the money. Maybe now he can just cut his losses
and come to England?

5)
Matuidi: Exactly the kind of midfield marshal that Man United need in the
centre of the park

6) Oliver
Torres: Young, exciting Spanish attacking midfielder currently on the early
path toward greatness at Atletico. Would bring the same sort of attitude and
spark as Januzaj, but with just a bit more experience on the big stage.

7)
Leighton Baines: Everton now have a decent replacement, and Baines would still
be a brilliant acquisition for United… if he’d want to go to a side which is
lower in the league.

8) Axel
Witsel: Great name, even better player. Could probably do the job that fellow
Belgian Fellaini was actually brought in to do, but has so far failed to do
effectively.

9) Julian
Draxler: The next German big thing, he’s been at Schalke for a very long time,
and seems intent on staying, but maybe he grew up dreaming of playing for Man
United as a kid…? More likely to go to Arsenal if he is coming to England.

10) Ilkay
Gundogan: Once again, he’s exactly the sort of player Manchester United
desperately need to control the game in midfield. Has two years left on his
contract, but with Dortmund now way off the league leaders Bayern Munich, could
he fancy a new challenge at United?

11) Ryan
Gauld: Baby Messi, New Messi, whatever you want to call him. He’s decent, and
Moyes has been monitoring his progress. Could a 17-year-old make a big impact
at a club which is struggling as much as United? It’s questionable, but if Man
United don’t poach him, somebody else will.

12)
Wesley Sneijder: Yes he’s lost the pace that he barely had in the first place,
but still offers more class and vision than almost any of Manchester United’s
current midfield options. Sneijder and Giggs on the same team? Yes, yes please.

13)
Nemanja Matic: After leaving Chelsea in 2011, is he established himself as a
top European centre-midfield talent at Benfica.

14)
Antoine Griezmann: Definitely a better option on the wing than Ashley Young,
Nani or Valencia. Enjoys his football at Sociedad, but could probably be torn
away for hefty wages and a substantial transfer fee.

15) Koke:
He’s certainly a target for Manchester United, but his agent has expressed the
player’s desire to stay at Atletico. Could this just be a ploy to squeeze more
money out of United?

And here
we go with out players for Man United to get rid of. First up – Anderson.

Ashley
Young – at least put him on loan

Tom
Cleverley: Figure of hate among football fans in general. Shouldn’t be at a
top-half football club.

Alexander Buttner: Just hasn’t made the grade
Rio
Ferdinand: A great servant for the club, but has lost almost everything that
made him so great. Is obviously preparing for a move into punditry.

Patrice
Evra: Has gone the same way as Rio, just not making the grade consistently at
the highest level.

Nani: Was
always patchy, and his moments of greatness are less and less frequent. United
could still get decent enough money for him if they sold him in January.

Antonio
Valencia: Same story as Ashley Young, just hasn’t got anywhere near the level
required at Old Trafford
